They are generally to get readers thinking about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the research process<\/li><li>what they find<\/li><li>analyzing what they find<\/li><li>their assumptions about research and their ancestors<\/li><li>terminology and language used in records<\/li><li>the history, culture, and environment in which their ancestors lived<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And we try to be short\u2014that\u2019s sometimes the difficult part. Tips are not meant to be verbose or lengthy discussions. The intent is to make people aware or to remind them of a topic, concept, term, etc. Longer discussions are posted on my<em>&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.cm\/\">Rootdig<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But we are thankful for all who participate in\u00a0<em>Genealogy Tip of the Day<\/em> in any way, shape, or form <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/genealogytip\/\">(including our Facebook page)<\/a>&#8211;even if you don&#8217;t <a href=\"https:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/index.php\/genealogy-tip-of-the-day-book\/\">purchase a book<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And thanks to all who have helped make our page what it is.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our goals here at&nbsp;Genealogy Tip of the Day&nbsp;&nbsp;are simple for the most part.
