If you are looking for a specific piece of information–ask yourself “where could that be written?”<\/p>\n

Don’t focus initially on locating a birth record, instead think where could information about the birth be written? This might be a birth certificate, newspaper announcement, family bible, etc.<\/p>\n

Then try to access those sources. It might be that when you locate one of the items it provides a clue to help you actually locate the birth certificate.<\/p>\n
