Franklen Tammen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Franklen (possibly an incorrect rendering of &#8220;Franken&#8221;) could have been Elka\u2019s maiden name, middle name, or married name with a previous husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I should include in my notes on Elka that she is referred to as \u201cElka B. Franklen Tammen\u201d in her husband\u2019s 1895 will. I should not enter that as her maiden name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using it for a clue to other relatives when searching is advised. But there\u2019s not really good evidence in this will that it\u2019s her maiden name.
