I\u2019m well aware that one person\u2019s waste of time is another person\u2019s reason for existance, but there\u2019s no crime in not getting all excited about some game just because everyone else is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But nearly ten years ago, I spent some time compiling an incomplete list of my known ancestors who immgrated to the US and some key details in their appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a good activity for me at the time. Of course it covered a wide time period, but doing it allowed to focus on one thing: passenger lists and immigration. That\u2019s a different approach from working on everything we can find about a person or a family. I was just focused on documenting as many pond crossings as I could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Might be time to go back and take another look at it. But\u2026have you thought about one type of record and finding as many relatives in that record as you can..instead of finding as much as you can about one person?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your mileage may vary.
