Some of them might not be quite as short as \u201cokie-dokie\u201d which my Mother often used. There might have been ones like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wait til you start paying the bills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Life ain\u2019t a bed of roses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I\u2019m still the boss around here\u2026I\u2019m not dead yet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and so on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These phrases can provide some insight into the person for those who never knew them. And for those of us who did know them, occasionally seeing the phrases or being reminded of them can bring back fond memories. It\u2019s not always about preserving memories for those who will come after us. Sometimes it\u2019s good to preserve memories for ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recording these (or other memories of our own) can be a good genealogy activity when you have tired of searching for gg-grandma Schnufferman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Okie-dokie?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is not a tip about Oklahoma or phrases that rhyme.
