Stone. Stone likely paid Newman for the warrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was sometimes easier for veterans to simply sell their warrant than to move into new federal lands and \u201cstart over.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The image with this post is from the Bureau of Land management.
