While such information can be included in metadata, the fact remains that images posted online get copied and pasted with no attention paid to metadata. It is also possible that some <a href=\"https:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/connie-ufkes-neill-herb-wedding.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4296\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4296 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/connie-ufkes-neill-herb-wedding-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"connie-ufkes-neill-herb-wedding\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/connie-ufkes-neill-herb-wedding-217x300.jpg 217w, https:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/connie-ufkes-neill-herb-wedding.jpg 361w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/a>digital imaging programs strip metadata altogether.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to add free-form commentary to any digital image of a photograph.
