That&#8217;s why in some databases you will see things such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nmi&#8211;No Middle Initial<\/li>\n<li>Nmn&#8211;No Middle Name<\/li>\n<li>Lnu&#8211;Last Name Unknown<\/li>\n<li>Unk&#8211;Unknown<\/li>\n<li>Blank&#8211;Blank [be careful as Blank can be an actual surname]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My personal preference is to not use such terms.
