Preservation of artifacts and the sharing of discoveries needs to happen regularly while you are alive and able to make certain it actually happens. What have you preserved recently (either by scanning or duplicating)? What discovery have you shared recently?

  1. Asking Santa to bring me the “How to Identify Photos” books to help me identify old postcard pictures & framed pictures etc.If I’m not doing, I’m thinking how to go about doing.

  2. Hi, I shared a flash drive with my cousin in Texas that had hundreds of old family photos that I had scanned . They were loaned to me by aunt who is 97 years old. I made copies for several family members that were interested. The only sad part is that many did not have names and dates. However, it made me realize that I needed to do that.

  3. I am in the midst of trying to determine the face of a house where trees are blocking the very few feet I am interested in.:}. I would think this photo in the early 1900s resulting in black and white and faded!!
    It shows the house from the south side and strongly suggests that it was the traditional Cape Cod house facing south. The main entrance now is on the west and another on the east, the gable ends A cedar tree is right in front ofwhere a door should have been:}:}
