Many genealogists have recipe cards in their collection. Like any personal artifact, they should be cited. I also like to add in the comments in whose handwriting the recipe appears to be as that bit of information may be lost if it is not retained. The citation might not be perfect, but it is functional.
This was what I ended up going with:
My PetRecipe for Gum Drop Cookie, April 1965, Mary A. Habben [1918-2009]; Neill Family Collection; privately held by Michael John Neill, [address for private use], 2025. Card was in personal collection of Connie (Ufkes) Neill [1942-2015] of Carthage, Illinois. Handwriting is believed to be that of Connie (Ufkes) Neill.
