Despite what some may think, the Family History Library in Salt Lake City does not have “everything.” Despite what the ads may imply, Ancestry.com does not have “everything.” Despite what we may think, the internet does not have “everything.”

  1. One can not expect to walk into a library or do an internet search and find all the information needed for one's “family tree.” That's why we call it reSEARCH!

  2. Saw a comment by one of the LDS libraries recently – since programmes like WDYTYA became popular, people are walking in expecting just that – a librarian will open a book and show you your entire family tree. 🙁
