One can not expect to walk into a library or do an internet search and find all the information needed for one's “family tree.” That's why we call it reSEARCH!
Anonymous is exactly correct, but you'd be surprised how many people have this misconception.
Saw a comment by one of the LDS libraries recently – since programmes like WDYTYA became popular, people are walking in expecting just that – a librarian will open a book and show you your entire family tree. 🙁
